So the lovely Ms. Michelle Toussaint at Random_Michelle has nominated me again for the Quote Challenge. Since I’d already done it, we negotiated and I agreed to do it again sans the challenging three other people each time. Besides, she asked so perty like! So here’s my quote for Day 1 of the Quote Challenge (Round Two):
“The more a man knows, the more he forgives.” (Confucius)
What I’ve found as I’ve gotten older is that I don’t know anywhere near as much as I thought I did when I was 16. I mean 26. No, wait, 36? 46? 56? Sigh… The more human you figure out you are, the more likely you are to be merciful and graceful towards others because you finally figure out they’re in the same boat you are! If you’re “smart enough”, that is, to figure that out…
You know, me and a girlfriend of mine come up with the same conclusion, while discussing how people in our community treat us being on different sides of the parental divide. Granted you said it with more elegance and flare.

It’s a hard lesson to learn. Starts about the time you figure out your parents were humans, not demi-gods! 😀

Thanks, Deanne! Back at ya. Right now it sounds like we’re in the middle of a war zone. Every house in our neighborhood is outside lighting fireworks. BIG fireworks, since some of them are legal here now. Hope you’ve had a nice weekend so far.

So far so good. It’s a war zone here as well. It started last night 🙂
