Welcome to The Sandbox Writing Challenge 2. After using the little pollie thing last week it has been decided that this will be a once a week challenge. Therefore, I’m going to post it on Tuesdays so you can have a couple days to get to it by the weekend if you want. Don’t forget to post your response on your blog with a pingback to this post. If your response isn’t terribly long, you’re also welcome to leave it in the comments section. If you have any questions, the original post is HERE.
Let’s be off then, shall we?

The Sandbox Writing Challenge — Exercise 2
It’s all about Balance. Do you consider yourself a balanced person? What are some of the things you do on a daily, weekly, etc. basis to keep yourself balanced? If you don’t feel you are, what can you do to help you find some of that needed balance?

For a moment, considered “balance.” This is what I found. Rather this is what found me.
Risk
To feel
the squirrel’s
heart clatter
in the deep
of my chest
as it dashes
across
the electric
wire above
the black road.

I actually get that! I realized reading Fimnora Westcaw’s response to “Stillness” that the first question one really needs to ask when doing these exercises from the book is, what does that MEAN? Instead I have rushed head long into each of them. I’m learning! So I LOVE this because it’s a different perspective than what I had. Man! You CAN almost feel that. Awesome!
