So the past four challenges from the Sandbox have been kind of fun, warm-up exercises. But now I’d like you to take out your shovel and dig a little deeper, to seriously ponder what it is about you that you feel makes you different from everybody else.
Please no hook noses, or strange combinations of food that you like. You are a unique individual, and we want to know why!
As usual, remember to include a link to this post on your blog. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. If you would like to play with us and see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge.
Shovels at the ready? Start diggin’!

Thank you Calen It was really scary, but I feel so good now.
There’s a bonus, too. This post has connected me with an amazing poet who I wouldn’t have found otherwise, and re-connected me with someone else I haven’t heard from in months – although that may have happened anyway…
Your Sandbox Challenge is brilliant! I feel as if I’m finally working through so much.
at this rate I won’t need the couselling I’ve been signed up for! (Don’t worry – I’ve had good reports of this counsellor)

I can’t do this challenge, please forgive me. It seems I fight since years and try to make people understand that we all aren’t that different. I guess as a foreigner -with an accent- I know how people treat you when they feel you are different. I will participate at next weeks Sandbox challenge…promised.

What you just said makes perfect sense to me. You have a perspective on this that most of us don’t have. Please feel free to do a post stating just exactly that and why it’s important to you. I think people would find it very interesting. How folks interpret these questions is up to them. I’m just putting them in here from the book and I’ve found we all come away with different ideas. I would love to hear what you have to say about that if you care to write it. If not, that’s peachy, too. Totally up to you.
Btw, I am SO glad I signed on to do your challenge. After I saw how you were posting the response links right on the blog I did mine that way this time. I may even go back and change the first few if I get a minute. I’m just a dimwit when it comes to stuff like that. It was very helpful! Can you send me links where to find one and two so I can catch up? I’m going to be gone for a week and I’d like to schedule something to post every day if I can. I could sure use them. Thanks.

My first thought was that’s a great idea – it’s sometimes hard to find the links to others’ responses in the comment threads. Not sure whether to click before or after attempting to write this. Could be good to see others’ ideas if stuck for inspiration.
