A big thank you this morning to everyone who participated in last week’s challenge. There were some pretty unique observations! I guess we proved what “well-rounded” people we are! 😀
Back to a simpler one this morning. Or is it? When you’re writing, think about ALL parts of your lives, outer AND inner, and see what you come up with. I’m learning from doing these that they can be as easy or as hard as you want to make them. So dig down deep in the sandbox today and give this challenge some serious thought! Here we go…
`
What can you do to simplify your life?
`
As always, remember to include a link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. If you would like to play with us and see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF. So SIMPLY begin!

my life has become about as simple as it can be. I suppose I could get rid of clutter, but without my “stuff” I dont know what I would do. basically I do what I want…within the realm oh things I can DO. Or should I add, what I. an afford. I wouldnt have it any other way.

That’s kind of where Drollery and I are, too, minus the two issues I mentioned in my post. Gotta have SOME money to live a complicated life! LOL Or at least a very adventurous one!

I hear you…except that my housemate/son will be with me always. Otherwise I’d be out in the desert someplace writing. 🙂

Seems one of our situations is similar! Actually, I’d love to be able to rend a small office somewhere to write in where no one else is allowed uninvited! How’s that! 😀

I have one…it is a god-awful mess. LOL But I love it. It’s not really enforceable even if I post a keep-out-this-means-you sign.

I read in a Writer magazine once an interview with Stephen King (I think it was him) who noted that his wife screened his calls and visitors when he worked at home…which made the home office thing work. He also said that “visiting” was sheer torture–yeah, if I would have had a wife and not been forced to do visit-duty, I would have been rich too. haha

A very interesting question, I think that more organisation generally helps, hence the five ‘p’s: prior preparation prevents poor performance. If I applied this more widely to my life I’m sure it would be a fair bit simpler (but whether that’s desirable or not is a whole other question!).
Best, Matt
