Very touching post, and poignant song. My brother served, and his death, here at home, afterward, was a result of being in that war. I don’t know if his name is on that wall. I wonder.

There are websites that have all the names. You could probably find out on one of them. What me to look?

How would a name have gotten submitted? Wouldn’t the family have had to do that? Or is it the names that are in the military cemeteries?

I’m guessing it would just be through service records. I read that the names included servicemen who died after the war.

Drollery just said the death had to be related to something from the war. Like agent orange or wounds.

Vietnam Vets are the forgotten vets. While I wasn’t a supporter of that war, the men and women that served in it deserve as much honor and thanks as any other vet. Chuck is a Vietnam era vet (no he didn’t serve “in country” but he still severed during that time) and I’m proud of him for doing so.

Tell him I’m proud of him, too! And give him a big hug from me! One of this days we’ll get back there and I’l have one for both of ya! In fact, I’m toying with the idea of asking Drollery if he’d like to scrap Christmas and go to Vegas! 😀
