still-of-sean-connery-harrison-ford-and-john-rhys-davies-in-indiana-jones-and-the-last-crusade-1989-large-pictureIt’s 4:30 in the morning and I’ve woken up with an earworm movieworm. I know… You were just getting used to earworms and now I’m throwing something else at you!

Sorry. But there it is… I CANNOT get the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade out of my bloomin’ head. One scene in particular keeps looping through my mind. It was the scene where Indiana had to choose the true cup of Christ to save his father’s life.

This movie unnerved me from the get go. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven when BOTH my favorite actors were thrown together — rapture! Well, for some reason I can’t fathom, that scene will not leave me alone.

So here I am at 4:35 a.m. writing down what MIGHT pass for a haiku just to put a stop to it — hopefully. Now I KNOW haiku is supposed to have to do with nature, but might not human nature fit the bill as well? What would one do if the chance at immortality was staring them in the face?

It was just freakin’ weird. So I’m writing this silly thing in the hopes it will leave me alone! It’s not good by any means, but I HAVE to do it to get it out of my head.

(It didn’t work, btw. Here it is 6:55 and I’m posting this. Back in bed the haiku kept trippin’ through my head after that. Sigh…)
