…from soulgifts — Telling Tales for her lovely comments about Impromptu Promptlings on her Acceptance Speech post. Since her comments won’t show up here on her reblog, I’m pasting them in separately so I will always have them. And I wanted her to know how much I appreciate her and her lovely words.
So thank you, my dear! You tickled me to death with all that wonderful music! (Be sure to click the links in her comment to hear the amazing Piano Guys!) Especially “A Thousand Years” as my favorite couple, Amy and Fik-Shun, on So You Think You Can Dance did this song the year they won.
Believe it or not, I had NEVER heard it before that night. I know. You’re all thinking what in the world is wrong with that woman? Where has she been hiding??? In my defense I can only say I have never seen nor read any of the Twilight books. And NO, I’m not sorry. But I do love the song!

You provide unwavering support and inspirational Sandbox Challenges so we can dig and scrabble around the dark recesses and corners of our psyches with you. Your challenge, should you decide to accept it, is to pull up rock, grab a nice cuppa, sit a spell and listen to this selection tailor made just for you as my heartfelt “Thank you!”

And just for good measure, here’s the video of Amy and Fik-Shun dancing to “A Thousand Years…” (Just ’cause I can!)

I LOVE that picture you posted for the Thank You. I’m going out on a limb here (hee hee) and guessing that is celtic in design, and Gaelic in writing?
And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the song “A Thousand Years!”
I remember you sent me links for the SYTYCD vids with this couple. WONDERFUL!!!
Also loved the vids of the Piano Guys 😀
And you SO deserved Raili’s nomination!!!

I love Christina Perri, she had her breakthrough in this show (SYTYCD) with her first song “Jar of Hearts.”

Ooo! I think I remember that! Neil Haskell (who I’ve been REALLY crushing on for years and is currently in West Side Story on Broadway I think) and Alison Holker (who is married to my FAVORiTE dancer of all time Stephen “Twitch” Boss) danced to it. Let me see if I can find it… Yep! Here it is, Bridget with Christina Perri singing it two weeks after it hit the charts and make a big splash.

I’m still amazed you didn’t know I love The Piano Guys or that song! My sister is NUTS about Jon Schmidt (bald, plays the piano). He does Christmas concerts in the square outside Channel 2 in Salt Lake every Christmas. A program called The Forgotten Carols. They never miss it. (I, on the other hand, listen to them on Pandora. I’m not a winter person.)

I had never heard of the Piano Guys until a few days ago when someone posted the Scottish Fight one on Facebook. I fell in love with it. Who wouldn’t! So when I was writing the award speech, I immediately connected you with it. It flowed from there to the others when I poked around YouTube for more. They sort of leapt out, if you know what I mean. Might as well have had a spotlight on them 🙂 I have now subscribed to their YouTube feed. I love their passion for what they do as much as their music. Intuition is my strongest spiritual gift (psychic ability) – it certainly hit the target this time 🙂
