Last week’s Sandbox Writing Challenge was so interesting I actually reblogged a couple of the posts to Promptlings. I think that’s been my favorite exercise so far.
This week’s prompt might be a little bit more difficult. My mind is already playing with what I want to write. There are either too MANY answers for me, or two FEW!
So here we go!
`
What makes you feel lonely?
`
As always, remember to include the link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. And please feel free to interpret the prompt however you wish: memoirs, poems, pictures, etc.
If you would like to see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all, the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF. (Posts from past prompts you wish to tackle will always be added to the current week’s challenge page.)
Ok! Time to do a little digging again. Fill your buckets up with some thoughtful sand, sift through it, and let’s see what you come up with!

Hi Calen, I’ve been thinking about the question you asked in response to my post for this challenge. You know, about the how, when, why etc I stopped being terrified at night. I thought I’d post the answer here as it is a response to the prompt others may be interested as well.
The short answer is that it didn’t happen overnight! It was incremental over some years.
Early in our marriage I was terrified of dying too, so was often too scared to go to sleep. That faded away – I think I just stopped being scared because it never happened. I’d fall asleep eventually and wake up alive the next morning. The fear started to feel absurd.
The other stopped being an issue over time as I dug deeper and deeper into my psyche, decluttered and tossed out stuff that was past its use by date. I also started to delve more deeply and broadly into spiritual matters. Meditation helped.Prayer. Mantras. Journalling. Working with the angels, calling them in for protection every night. Especially the ArchAngel Michael. He has a legion of Warrior Angels at his command and his role and function is protection. He also is one of my personal Guardian Angels. I’m told by a clairvoyant friend that he follows me everywhere.
It became an issue of if I ask for help and then negate it by not trusting and believing that I will get it, I am being just plain rude!
The other very useful tool I learnt to use is the Violet Flame of Freedom, Transmutation and Forgiveness – http://www.troikasaintgermain.com/
It is an immutable Law of Creation that energy cannot be destroyed. However, it can be changed. Negative energy – fear – stays in that state until something comes along to change it. Voila – Violet Flame it! You can’t overdose on it. It can be used to cleanse our chakras, our homes, our cars, our work places, our world. Anywhere where there is darkness. Using it with intent will change the energies to Light.
These days my little fur baby sleeps with me when TRH is away. Just for the company. It’s an indulgence we both enjoy.
(And here’s a bit more Raili added to her comment. Thought I’d grab it from your blog and post it here with your original comment, Raili.)
A couple of other things I meant to add. What we put out with our thinking is what we attract back. Kinda like magnets. So fear creates more fear, and so on. A vicious cycle. One worth breaking!
My home is also filled with layers of energy. Our new extension rests on a crystal grid which was embedded prior to the foundation being poured. And I have crystals all over the house. I also use 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils (Young Living), many of which have a very high vibration. I cold diffuse them around the house and every night in our bedroom, as well as use them topically and in our food (yes, these are ones it is safe to ingest). There’s info about them in my Essential oils category. I am moving more and more towards a chemical free home too. And I play healing music (the solfeggio scale sort) – 24/7! This one is particularly beautiful and available as a free download – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtMUuP2tfyU.
Many layers, a bit like a good filo pastry. It all adds up and makes a difference!!

Thank you for that thoughtful answer, Raili! I will have to drop by that website and give it a read. I hope with all my heart I can get to that point. It’s a fear I have of being left alone if his lordship passes into the beyond before me. I admire you for your proactive work with your fears.

Ooops – meant to post the addition here : Thank you for that Calen. I’d never really stopped reflect on the changes, so thanks for the question. I wrangled with where to post it. The blog seemed the best place. Glad I was right.
