I JUST got a new picture and I HAVE to share it! Our little granddaughter was only two months last time we saw her. I keep wondering if she looks like her mommy did at that age. We’re excited because the whole fam damily is coming for a visit July 26th. They’ll be here for Lydi’s first birthday. It will be the first ANYTHING we’ve shared with the grandkids! Births, birthdays, first words, first steps, first attempt at potty training. 😮 Ok, well I don’t mind that we missed THOSE firsts! LOL

She’s a really happy baby, too. Thank God! Stef has her hands full with four under 6!

Oh my!! Bless her heart! I was barely able to manage two that were two years apart!!

She’s one of those women who was born to be a mother. AND she has a degree in sociology. That helps. LOL

So glad you will be able to see your daughter and her family and celebrate Lydia’s first birthday! We just got back from time with our kids and grandson in Texas. Even though we were there for the horrific storm in Houston, we made the most of it. Family is so very special!
On a different note, I’m still recovering from surgery 5 weeks ago…ugh!
Blessings!

Hey Brenda! So glad you got to go see your grandson. Did it make your decisions about the future any easier? Am sorry to hear you’re still struggling with the aftermath of the surgery. Complications?

What a beautiful photo! Can you travel sometimes to where they are? It is hard to travel more than once or twice a year with several kids and it sounds as if you’d like to spend more time with them.

Yeah. We go there once a year and they come here. At least that’s the way it’s worked out so far. They just grow so fast in between.

Yes, her mommy is a gorgeous creature, too. If you’re interested, Opher, here’s how we ended up adopting Stef.

Still trying to find a place for them to stay. Kind of thinking we’re going to have to put them up in a motel down the street. Just don’t have room for them here. This is the ONLY kind of time I wish I had a bigger house!

Yep. That’s her brother Caleb with the Santa hat on in the “related images” up there. Her kids have all been so beautiful.

They are that. And it perturbs me that we have gotten into the digital photography age. When I forget how to use the computer I’ll never SEE this pictures again! 😦

Print them out C!!!

It would cost me a small fortune to go back ten years and do that with the ones I love. I’ve printed a few out on the way. I’ve also done a Shutterfly book for each of the kids for our first visits. They’re fun to do.

I love it that Stef and Jesse take pictures EVERY SINGLE DAY! At least we KIND of get to watch them grow up. 🙂

That’s a lovely idea. You could do like a time lapse slide show of them all eventually. We’ve got a bit slack with family photos 😦

I was afraid she’d have trouble keeping up with three big brothers. Don’t think so though! LOL There will be hell to pay with Caleb if anyone messes with HIS baby! Grin. He’s the youngest boy.

Really cute, does she remind you of your Daughter at that age. Great excitement in the house when they come.

I kind of wonder, too. We didn’t adopt Stef until she was seven.

We won’t see them much while they’re here. They’re always scheduled back-to-back with friends. I wish they’d move back here. Papa wants to take the boys up to our cabin fishing SO bad. Don’t think there’s going to be time for that.

Yes. Very old-fashioned. My mom now has a granddaughter AND a great-granddaughter named after her. I wish she could have been here for so many of the firsts in OUR kids lives.
