I will admit that I was ZEALOUSLY looking forward to tackling this A to Z Challenge as I missed it last year. I will ALSO admit that halfway through I was thinking, what the heck have I gotten myself into! Especially after having just done 47 days of Lenten posts. I have posted 89 days in a row now, only actually missing 4 days since January 1st. And if the counter on my stats page is correct, this will be my 1000th post! I am amazed! I didn’t think I’d last through December 2014 (I started in October that year). Thank God for Blogging 101. Taking that class was a real rubber band moment for me. And that’s where I met most of you!!!
That having been said I will also admit that I have ZEALOUSLY looked forward to getting to Z! And here we are!
I’ve learned some things along the way with this challenge. First, I can’t read a book and write blogs. Second, I do much better writing on the spur of the moment than planning something out. Third, that I suck at picking themes!!! Next year I will put much more thought into that.
I didn’t do a terrific job at keeping up with reading other blogs from the list. About halfway through the month I started to fizzle out. BUT, I’m determined to take the time today to go read how many ever I should have by now. A job worth doing is worth doing right, right? So I will ZEALOUSLY throw myself into that reading frenzy post haste!
It’s been fun. I’ve met a lot of new people, followed a few whom I can tell are going to be great neighbors. My hat’s off to the folks who organized this. I nearly died when I saw how many people signed up.
So will I do it again next year? ZEALOUSLY! And now I’m to go throw myself just as ZEALOUSLY into cooking Lord Drollery some breakfast!

“Yay!” she screams as she stumbles across the finish line, hands in the air, big sloppy grin on her face. “I did it!”

Congratulations! I am a bit in awe of your work ethic! And 1000 posts, what an accomplishment, and … we met on Blogging 101 so I am very glad you took the course (and that I took it.) Once I clear away a few things I have on my plate I hope to take up some of the challenges you have completed. I understand about blogging and reading a novel, though. It’s one of the reasons I don’t blog every day. I find it hard to give up on the pile of books I have to read, to say nothing of trying to keep up with reading other people’s blogs! I’m settling in to it though; I am really enjoying living the blogging life. ☺️🤓

I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one that has the either/or problem. Your blogs are pretty amazing, Janet. You put so much thought and research into them they must take awhile. I think I’d find that stressful. I just fly by the seat of my pants. It just looks like I have something to say ’cause I’m long-winded! LOL!

I started blogging in Oct. of 2014 too. 🙂 I don’t think I met you in blogging 101, though. I met you later. Can’t remember what month I took 101. It sure taught me a lot. I almost want to take it again.
Congratulations for getting through the whole alphabet so zealously!

I bet you took it the first time they taught it that fall? I didn’t take it till January ’15. I did learn a lot. I loved Writing 101, too. Still in love with that picture from your blog!

Hello, Kathy. I think I was at your blog today, but I can’t remember the name of it. Refresh my memory? And thanks for stopping by. Yes, YAY, we’re done!

If I should still be speaking to my muse, or perhaps if my muse is still speaking with me, I’m going the easy route on this… THEME: MUSIC. 😀
Wonder what I’ll do now that I don’t have this challenge cloud over my head?

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I still have to do my old man post.

I was trying to figure out ow to use that, but at the outset I decided these would be “feeling” words. I feel ________. That’s what my daughter is always saying to the boys when they get frustrated. LOL

Zealous – that’s a good choice of word for your final post in this challenge. I haven’t written mine yet, but I’ve chosen the word and I think a few people will be using it – Zonked.

I just read over at their blog that we’re supposed to do a reflective post to be added to their list no later than the 8th (I’d imagine) as they’re going to print out the final list of posts on May 9th. But I already said everything I might have in this. Now I’m puzzled as to how to attack it.

Eeeek – can you hear me screaming?
Although I don’t expect I’ll be included, as I couldn’t get my badge up – I haven’t managed to sort out my widget problem, and I still can’t comment on certain blogs. It’s so irritating!

Well all you’ll have to do is post your link to the page they’re going to set up. They’re supposed to be sending info about it. Are you still on the list on the main page? They lost SO many people I had a hard time finding my blog.

I think the schedule and the feeling of “I have to post,” is one of the reasons that I don’t participate in challenges. Congratulations you did it. What’s next? 🙂

You know, I whined about it to Drollery the whole time I was doing it, but I was also driven to the keyboard. I enjoy trying to put something on paper. The other reason I started this blog was to try to figure out what my writing style might be. I count this all as experimental practice! But I didn’t pick a very good theme. I have no idea what’s next. A nap? 😮

Well at least I saw them through. Now we’re supposed to do a “reflective post” on the whole thing. Scratching my head. Going to play Scarlett and think about it tomorrow! It needs to be posted to their list before they 8th. They want to print a list of final, reflective posts out on the 9th. If I do it again next year, I need a larger framework to work with. This “feeling words” quite sucked!

Just a flying visit this time round but well done for completing this challenge 😀 I look forward to reading through all those posts that I missed while away and catching up some soon. Sincere apologies for being out of touch so long, it’s been a whirlwind and I’m now back home for a good long rest as a recovering (hopefully) yo-yo. We sadly lost my mum on 10th but she still feels very close and her love will never leave me. Anyway, I hope all is well with you and yours – and I will be back soon. Very best wishes and thank you so much for your kindness and support during recent months :)x

Colette, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. I had wondered where you’d gotten to. I hope you can catch up with yourself now and let the grieving take its course. That’s so important, isn’t it… We’ll be glad to have you back when you feel up to it. In the meantime, I’ll certainly be thinking about you. Love & Hugs!
