(Separated from Part 11)
The Seeker joined the folks of the village for the morning meal. She found it difficult to say goodbye. They were, after all, truly good and devout of faith. And though she would always be drawn to this village, knew she would always be welcome here, she was certain her destiny lay along a different path.
As she made her way out of the village toward the mountain range that rose to the east, the Seeker paused to wave goodbye to two village children sitting in the meadow. Caught up gazing into the beautiful warmth of the morning sun, they did not see her at first. The Seeker marveled as she lifted her eyes to the heavens where a red-gold rose appeared to bloom in the center of the sun, it’s rays casting out the signs of the zodiac just as the moon had done the night before she had left the temple. This world belongs to such innocents as they, she thought. Simple, creative, true to themselves and willing to trust their inner spirits. Her heart stirred as she felt their freedom settle in her soul.
It was then she noticed the dozens of butterflies fluttering about them. She gasp in delight drawing the children’s attention. As they turned and waved, several of the beautiful creatures left the others and winged their way to the Seeker. She was startled as one of the delicate creatures came to rest on her shoulder and in the faintest of whispers spoke words of grace into her ear. “Blessed are you, Seeker, a child of the Creator! Do not fear to be filled with wonder and a love of mystery and mankind! Stay true to the calling in your heart. Let none say your search is in vain. Go in peace.”
Standing there amidst the hovering cloud of wings, the Seeker’s spirit suddenly felt light with innocence and tears filled her eyes. Butterflies, she knew, were symbolic of transition, and she had no doubt she was in that process herself.

Haha, yes feels like that, but holding on to the thought it’ll pay for next stage of bike training. Yippee!

It’s a fascinating way to write a story. Following where the cards lead you – it’s like you’re getting an indepth reading 🙂

I’m glad you’re liking this, Mary. I pulled 11 and 12 apart since they were two cards. I wasn’t thinking when I posted them. That was actually where I have ended up now in my own spiritual journey. Got a little nervous this morning when I wanted to work on it some more. Drew the next card (yeah, I have a ritual, in case you wondered) and just felt like I needed to keep going. So I did until the Spirit said stop. Ended up with six new cards to tackle in the order I drew them. I can already see a loose outline. I must say if God is trying to get me to just loosen up and trust, this is an interesting way to do it! LOL I think!
