Last week’s prompt was truly interesting. Turns out anything can be motivation to keep on going. That’s good because sometimes I need LOTS of motivation to keep plugging along…
We’re coming into the home stretch with Roberta Allen’s prompts. This week there are two again. I’ve been musing about where I’ll end up. Should see a variety of answers with these prompts!
`
Where are you going?
Where would you like to be in five years?
`
Boy! This is the main topic of conversation between Drollery and me at the moment as we try to figure out this whole retirement thing… But I’ve never asked myself these questions. Maybe it’s time…
As always, remember to include the link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. And please feel free to interpret the prompt however you wish: memoirs, poems, pictures, etc.
If you would like to see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all, the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF. (Posts from past prompts you wish to tackle will always be added to the current week’s challenge page.)
So get out your maps and work out your five-year plan. We’re all waiting to hear about your journey!

In five years,I want to be fully present in every way.
I want to be financially secure enough to consider working a real job in a part time capacity and working to the beat of my soul’s calling all the rest of the time.
I doubt there will be little ones in my life once again yet, but I want to be able to spend more time with younger people full of life and less time with the older tired and jaded ones.
There- that was easy!

I hope to be where I am now. Often think it would be wise to sell and resettle into a place which requires less work, but I haven’t yet made that choice.

That’s a pretty good sized house! We only have approximately 1200 sq. ft. of living space in our bi-level… We need to get a one floor place…

That’s Oklahoma. Spread out, not up. We have had to provide space for adult children and families quite often, so I’ve been thankful for it. My children are very responsible adults but hardship caused by job loss and divorce seems to hit many these days. Thanks, for your interaction, Caleb.

Ian Dury said – ‘All I want for my birthdays is another birthday’. That sounds good to me. That’s where I’d like to be – alive and filling life with as much as I can fit in.
