meditation
eyes closed
body relaxed,
ocean scented candle
carries my senses to
unknown shores where
waves gently wash
sodden sand
cleansing my weary mind,
calling me to
inhale slowly
exhale fully
wandering thoughts
fade into the
roar of the surf
taken captive by
Tibetan bells,
and i slip gracefully
from this knowing
into the womb of God
enveloped by heart sounds
communion deepens
mind quiets
rhythm of being
begins to beat
in time with the Creator’s
`
i am home

A nice poem… Reminds me on some of my poems I wrote… Too bad they aren’t in English. 😦

Can you not translate them? Might be a fun challenge. 😀

I might actually translate some of them, I tried that before… Ussually it turns a bit awkwardly and I feel like it loses some of it’s effect and beauty… But guess it has to be that way when you translate things. I’ll give it a try!

Just had a morning training on the big bike and after loads of progress, I was just rubbish today. Reading your poem is timely. I was instantly transported to where I need to go right now without actually doing any meditation. Beautiful, thank you!

Oh hon, I’m sorry to hear that. I guess we have to have those kinds of days in order to improve? (I owe you an email, btw. Haven’t forgotten. Been crazy busy the last week.) But I’m glad you liked the poem. It “felt” wonderful when I was doing it. Best session I’ve ever had, and I’ve been meditating off and on for years. Don’t know what happened!

I know exactly how that goes – sometimes in the meditation, I just wander – but other times – wow – spiritual awakening.

Once you find that space, it gets easier to slip back in 🙂 Beautiful poem Calen !

I wondered about that, but I also wondered if it was just my state of mind. Maybe really wanting to get away for half an hour…

Intent certainly plays a part, but so does practice.

So relaxing. So soothing. I can “feel” the quiet in the center of this crazy work storm…that is quite a feat to do with words. Excellent.

Thank you, dear heart. I didn’t do it justice really. This morning was the first time I felt myself slip into that quiet center. It was a very different place to be. I find myself wondering if it will happen again…

I could sure use some relaxation now. Moving house is incredibly stressful. It is all the uncertainly. Such a worry and upheaval.

I hear you. We only moved once a year after we got married when we bought our house. I SWORE I’d never do it again. I’m surprised you don’t practice some kind of centering meditation, Opher. Non-religious, of course. 😉 It’s done wonders for my blood sugar!
