Ok… So normally when I change things up on TSWC I get everyone’s input. But I made a unilateral decision tonight to switch books! I felt that (for the time being at least) the book by Philip Simmons was a wee bit heavy. This challenge was meant to be upbeat and fun. So I went scrounging and found a different one. And without further fartin’ around, we’re going to get right at it!
I left a bunch of beach towels on the lawn chairs, so get out of that pool and dry yourselves off. There’s hot dogs and burgers on the grill and a whole picnic table full of food! So grab a plate and settle in for it’s time to begin!
`
Describe yourself in five WORDS or SENTENCES.
`
You can be as detailed as you want. This is your chance to help us get to know a little more about you!!!
As always, remember to include the link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. And please feel free to interpret the prompt however you wish: memoirs, poems, pictures, etc.
If you would like to see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all, the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF.

I asked my friend to sum me up, as it’s quite hard to write about oneself. Apparently I can be summed up quite simply: expert tea drinker, numismatist, explorer, restless spirit, minor poet, heavy smoker, and pedantic.

You know, I wasn’t sure what pedantic meant so I looked it up. The definition confused me. “Like a pendant…” Every definition started with that. It made me think of something that swings back and forth on a chain around a person’s neck. But then all the definitions went on to equate it to precise, exact, meticulous, etc. I found the disparity in my thinking kind of weird… You learn something new every day! 😀 I think the explorer part with a restless spirit would fit more under MY definition! 😉

I do often feel like I’m swinging back and forth in life, so I will accept either definition! 🙂

And here I thought it meant condescending… always glad to learn. Hi Descartes.

Well howdy thar, Uttley! Read your bio. You have been one busy bee with all that going on! So glad to have you join us. 😀

Hail and well met. That bio is a bit overdone, isn’t it? lol Most people leave it at a couple of paragraphs, but once I got to listing my writing ‘credentials’ I had a hard time shutting up!

I thought it was enlightening. Do you feel like it presented a good picture of “what” you are (human doing) rather than “who” you are (human being)? I found myself asking that question when I did my About page. I changed it.

Think I’m going to have to get the book – I was getting right into it! But beach towels, pool and table full of food – how can anyone protest?

I’m glad you opted for a different book. Maybe we’ll tackle the other one later. It was just a real downer kind of journal. Girl, you’ve got so much going on you need to be UP!!! Especially what with your bike lessons! 😉 Go show that sucker who is the boss! 😀

Sounds good Calen – a bit of more light hearted stuff might be just the thing needed !! We’re off on a road trip this coming Sunday, probably for 3 weeks. First to Marc’s graduation, a bit of sightseeing along the way there and after, then visiting my sister and others, and another slowish sightseeing route back home. Will blog while away but may not be every day. Don’t know yet.

He’s graduating from basics already? Doesn’t seem like it’s been that long. Well have fun on your trip. I’ll bet you’re itching to get away for a while. I know I am!!! {{{Raili}}}
