You know, sometimes I take a look at these questions and think, geez, that’s too simple. It always amuses me then when I end up really thinking about them. This week’s is one of those.
I encourage everyone to really think about this as if it actually happened, because this is one of those “supposin'” things that’s easy to be flip about. And no, it’s not a genie with three wishes scenario, so I’m going to put a limit on the original, open-ended question. Are you ready?
`
If you had $1,000,000, what would you do with it?
`
Now remember, it’s ok for you to have fun. Don’t get SO serious about it that I need to paste a bottle of Maalox on this page!. 😀 What’s so important to you that you’d be willing to part with your bucks?
As always, remember to include the link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. And please feel free to interpret the prompt however you wish: memoirs, poems, pictures, etc.
If you would like to see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all, the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF.

I would quit my job, buy some land and live off the grid entirely.
Give my sons and stepdaughter some cash to do with what they wish, and quit my job. Become more of an advocate, with the financial cushion to provide for that.
Do things that matter.

(Came by to read your response and realized I haven’t even answered this one. rolls eyes…)
Living off the grid. I’ve been wondering what that would really feel like. If it would make me nuts.

Funny! It’ll be plant guilds – trees suited to the area that are mutually supportive. Apple trees ARE a must. And unpruned! The question is quite an odd one for me, as the intention is to explore moneyless systems and do without the need for those paper notes and plastic cards.

Well, it doesn’t cost much to harvest seeds and seedlings and plant trees. I’d say you’d be off to a good start!

The first thing that comes to mind – I’d make Robert Redford an indecent proposal and ask him to take me on a romantic cruise on his yacht.
O the joys of ‘makebelief’ sans ‘repercussions’ 😉

LOL! Love it! I could go for that. But I think my main squeeze would be Tom Selleck! 😀

I’d use the money to stop violence against animals, women and children. I’d dismantle the two party system and get rid of the people in charge who support the “isms,” sexism, racism, agism, sexual orientation and any other form of discrimination. I would dismantle religion. I would take one state and build a fence around it where all the people who want to pass laws that take freedom away from others, could live and fight and hate among themselves. I would replace war with peace, use Tarot cards and regressions to cure people’s ills, and teach those skills to kids in school so they would grow up sane and happy. I’d need more money to do these things, but hey. The last thing I would do would build underground arena’s where I would put hunters with a lot of guns and no supplies. I would do the same with rapists and men who beat and abuse animals, women and children. No one would check on either arena for 100 years…or maybe never. That’s what I would do.

That’s easy – we’d pay off our debts, buy our new house without all the hassle, do the necessary alterations, buy a shed-load of music that I desperately need and give the rest to our kids.

I think you’re right. I’m a bit of a collector. I like having my space and my things around me. It has to have the right vibe.
