Yesterday on Friday Favorites I posted a poem called The Panther by Rainer Maria Rilke. It was new to me and I fell in love with it. (It’s now tied with Dog’s Death by John Upton as my favorite poem of all time.)
In the comment section Harula from wordsthatserve posted a video about a black leopard: The incredible story of how leopard Diabolo became Spirit – Anna Breytenbach, “animal communicator”.
I gotta tell ya I got a bit overwhelmed and teary watching it. It was pretty incredible seeing the respect Anna Breytenbach had for that magnificent animal. So I’m blogging the video today so others will be able to see and wonder at it, too. And thank you, Harula, for thinking to share it with us!

Wolves! Oh, yes! We have a wolf man a few miles from us. He partly lives in an enclosure with a pack of them. It’s lovely to see – but best not to stand downwind of him. THere a page dedicated to him on Wikipaedia.

I know, pretty, aren’t they. I wish I could have changed the background to match better, but I use tick marks a lot to separate things and as place holders and I’ve matched their color to my background. So if I did that they’d show up everywhere!!!

There’s a warmth to your background that complements the colour of the candles. It works!
