Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. (Plato)
I’ve been blessed to meet a lot of kind people in my life. And to my great joy that blessing has spilled over from the blogging world. Who would have thunk it! So many people with so many kind hearts and nearly every one of them dealing with the very real burdens of life. Fimnora, Spiritual Dragonfly, Raili, Jane, Clare, Plato (the younger), Colleen, Anna, Opher, Badfish, Safar… I could go on and on!
I love Harula’s quote for today. It’s very likely the first quote that went into my quote journal because the truth of it reverberated so strongly through me. It’s my hope and prayer that everyone of the folks in my life know I’m always there for them, not just in the good times, but the hard times as well because KINDNESS isn’t just a word you use to describe someone, it’s something you do to others.
In fact, just today one of the lovely folks I’ve gotten to know in the blogging neighborhood KINDNESSED me! Raili Tanska from soulgifts — Telling Tales hails from Australia. I was delighted to receive a surprise from her in the mail, a beautiful crocheted doily she made herself. I’m not sure Raili knew I love handmade doilies and have quite a collection of them (one I even tatted myself!), but she’s so on my wave length I’m not surprised!
KINDNESS is “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.” And those words describe Raili to a T. If you haven’t met her yet, please do stop by her blog and get acquainted. She’s got a wicked sense of humor, too!. 😀
So today I’m very GLAD and THANKFUL for Raili; for her KINDNESS and her ENCOURAGEMENT as I’ve struggle with one or two of those battles that Plato was talking about. Thank you, my sweet friend, for that beautiful gift! I will treasure it and your friendship always.. ❤
