So after much deliberation and some discussion with the Wizard, Percy and I have decided NOT to stay in Oz and look for witches! If they find us, they find us. BUT! Nor are we going back to Kansas, Utah. We have packed up our gear and crossed over the border of Oz into the Great Unknown and are going to do a lot of breathing and taking things one day at a time. I am very pleased to find it is also in technicolor like Oz!
That theme (Lost in Oz) was just not working for me. Hell! I’m usually lost no matter WHERE I am, so what’s the point? Last year I tried to focus on Embracing Imperfecton (.😀 ) and Just Breathing. I thought I was ready to move on, but obviously I was not as ready as I thought. So I’m sticking with Just Breathe for this year (I’ve got the Embracing Imperfecton part down pretty dern good.😉 )
We had a couple crappy things happen right at the end of the year — one of which was someone hitting Bran’s car while it was parked in the lot at work leaving him with the possibility of no car to drive while we are away in Maryland. But I am remembering to breathe regularly and praying diligently that we will have the car back tomorrow. In not panicking yet! We leave on Thursday (might be in full-blown anxiety by then!)
And we’ve had some good news as well. Bran is now employed full time at his store and is the head of the Bridal department. He’ll be attending bridal events in our area along with the usual working with couples who are registering at the store. He’s very good at what he does and is excited to see what he can do with the position.
AND we just found out yesterday our daughter Stefanie’s clan may be moving back here by the summer. That means we’d get to see the grandkiddos more than twice a year. That’s a pretty exciting possibility, too. And we’ll be really glad they’ll be out of the DC area finally. It can be pretty scary there.
SO! The Carter Clan is starting this year off in a pretty positive direction. Though I reserve the right to still question EVERYthing, have conniptions now and then, and, of course, pity parties. I have restocked the Party Closet as Spiritual Dragonfly is coming over to keep me company now and then. I have an open-door policy, so should any of you feel the need of a party coming on, DO stop by. We can have such fun! (The “whine” cellar is full, too… .😉 )
Just remember that like all good whine wine, we gotta breathe! .😀

😀 I sure wish we could fly first-class to London in September! But the price jumps from $1200 to $4000 per person! Crazy, isn’t it, just to get free booze and be closer to the toity!!! (rolls eyes…)

I know, but it’t a bit more than that isn’t it? I mean don’t you get a seat that converts into a bed, more leg space and a menu to choose from as well ? TRH got upgraded to business class on his return trip from Finland ‘cos he was a smoker and they had no smoking seats left, lol !

Is comfort class a step between the cattle yards and first class ?

Yep with more room than coach. And you get the alcohol, too.

Yes, thank goodness! And Drollery gave me a surprise for this trip. He bought first-class tickets. LOL Said he figured we ought to fly first-class at least once in our life. Said it was a good way to start out the new year. 😀 I’m not going to argue!

Wait! You’re going to Maryland? Good news for Bran! It sounds like things are stating to look for him. I hope he got a big raise with the promotion.
I’ll be so envious of you if Stef and family move back. You’ll get to see the grandkids more then I’ll get to see mine! But you know I’m so happy and excited for that happen for you guys! Grandkids keep us young!
So what kind of wine are you having? And got cheese to go with that? 🙂
Luv Ya!
