I was having an Eeyore kind of day on Wednesday when Harula put up this week’s Wednesday Writers’ Well prompt. But in true serendipitous fashion, the mood had dispelled by the afternoon. Harula’s prompt said:

Writing Prompt:
Today’s prompt (allow around 15 mins in total) is called…Mundane Miracles

Begin by making a list, speedily and spontaneously, of about 10 things/experiences, you consider to be little everyday ‘miracles’. If you’re doing it in a group, you can pass your list round to the right after each item and add to each others so you get some creative cross pollination of imaginative ideas.

Now, with your list for inspiration, though you do not you have to use everything on it, nor are you limited to the things on your list(s), write a poem.

`
As it happened I DID have a bit of a miracle that day, but far be it from me to try to write a poem about it. That is SO not my strong point! But I would like to share my surprise with you. Miracles come in all shapes and sizes, and THIS one came out of the blue from Australia!

A few weeks ago I mentioned I was beginning the discipline of meditation every morning, and I mentioned I wish I had a pretty altar cloth for my rattan blanket chest to set my candles on. Well now I have one! Just take a look at this beautiful, hand-made treasure! Complete, I might add, with a dragonfly! And pearls! They didn’t show up very well in the pix, but they run around the top edge of the cloth.

`

Now how could anyone be blue with the surprise of such an elaborate and fanciful gift??? Isn’t it awesome! And along with this gorgeous creation I received some personally mixed oils and some chakra stones to use while I meditate.

And the giver of these treasures was none other than my lovely friend and blogging buddy from Australia, Raili Tanska! And there in lies the miracle. This particular miracle is FRIENDSHIP! It’s one of the most magical concoctions there is because FRIENDSHIP has the power to lift you out of your blue moods and help you see the sun again.

`
So thank you, Raili my dear, for your thoughtfulness, and for using your gifts to minister to me in such a lovely way. You are a true miracle in my life! And I will treasure my altar cloth forever!.😀
