Welcome to Day 3 of the April A to Z Challenge! So how’d you do with Letter B? There were a lot of you who knew it. I was impressed. So here it is:

The Big Valley

Now for those of you who aren’t familiar with the show, let me introduce you!

Finally, here’s a bit of trivia for you die-hard fans. Did you remember when the show first debuted there was a younger Barkley brother?  Eugene, played by Charles Briles, was a medical student studying at Berkeley. Like his older brothers, he was known to have a temper as seen in the Season 1 episode “Boots with My Father’s Name”. He was seen sporadically in only eight first season episodes and then episode 21, on a return from college. Then he was written out. Only once was his name ever mentioned again!

Alrighty then! Onward and upward!

This show ran from September 11, 1967, to March 29, 1978, for 279 episodes, and again with nine episodes in the fall of 1991. Not only did every show have me in stitches, but had it not been for Mrs. (a)Wiggins, I might never have become the long-nailed, fashionable secretary I was! 😀 With a cast that quickly became like part of my family, they were wonderful to watch and were always glad we had that time together…

So, my blogging buddies, can you…

(Btw, if you know the answer, please keep it to yourself so as not to give it away. Stick a smiley face on your comment instead. Thank you so much!)

(Just a quick note. If the title of the show is preceded with the word “The”, it will NOT be included in the name.)
