So did any of you do the Tarzan yell she was famous for when you figured out what this show was? Oh, you didn’t figure out what it was? Well here it is then:
The Carol Burnett Show
`
I switched it up with a video from the end of the show this time so you could see Carol’s signature ear pull. WHY did she pull her ear, you may ask. She ended each show by tugging on her left ear, which was a message to her grandmother who raised her. This was done to let her know that she was doing well and that she loved her. Carol’s grandmother passed away during the show’s TV run. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carol_Burnett)
`
This is my personal favorite Carol character, Mrs. Wiggins…

Here we go again!
One of the stars of this TV show had a stand-in for his snarling scenes. 😀 But he was really a cool cat who was always monkeying around with his good friend Judy. This show was proof that the West wasn’t the only wild place to be found on TV. Filmed from 1966 to 1969, this medical show also had it’s hot and steamy side. 😉
So what do you think? Can you…
(Btw, if you know the answer, please keep it to yourself so as not to give it away. Stick a smiley face on your comment instead. Thank you so much!)
`
(Just a quick note. If the title of the show is preceded with the word “The”, it will NOT be included in the name.)

I’m glad you liked the clip. Carol Burnett is a consummate performer. She had a pretty hard life, too. Makes a heck of a role model. Thanks so much for stopping by, Mandy. 😀

Doesn’t sound like Dukes of Hazzard, does it? I’m still basking in the Carol Burnett victory though, so I’m okay.

Yeah, I kind of hesitated to use her show because it really spanned some later years, too. I figured more folks would be familiar with it. It always made me smile. 🙂

No clue what today’s show is, and I must have missed reading yesterday’s entry or I probably would have figured it out. I actually did know why Carol tugged on her left ear, but I’d forgotten all about it till reading this. Can’t think of any medical shows from that time period, the only show I remember on during those dates was Star Trek, and I had to watch it in syndication as I wasn’t even thought of yet when it was on. 😛

I think I know the plot from every Star Trek show. Of course I was there for the original run. Very hard core Trekkie, actually. I even have the fleet manual for the Enterprise! 😀 But I DIDN’T pick that one for S because everyone knows it so well.

I’ve seen the TOS episodes so many times, I can watch the opening scene (before the credits) and tell you what the episode is about, and most times the episode title. I’d seen them so much that when we had to write a short story for English class (my sophomore year I believe) I wrote a Star Trek one where I set it during Next Generation, only changing the character’s names slightly (but anyone who’d ever watched the show would recognize them) and *thought* I’d come up with an original plot….only to discover I’d basically retold “Obsession” from TOS with only a few details changed. Oops! No wonder a classmate said it sounded like an episode of Star Trek! Well of course, it was supposed to, because I was basically using the TNG characters to tell my story, but I didn’t realize I was using an actual plot from a TOS episode! Apparently I hadn’t watched that particular episode in years but still managed to remember it well enough to use the same plot. Good thing I wasn’t trying to publish that story, even as fan fiction I could have gotten in trouble.
Live long and prosper! 😀

I guess it’s true what the Bible says. There’s nothing new under the sun. Even story plots! (I just did the Vulcan symbol for LL&P. Hope you saw it!)
