Ok… That may have been all too easy! Seems like most everyone knew I was talking about…
Quantum Leap
`
`
I’ve always LOVED Scott Bakula, though for some REALLY strange reason I never got on board with Enterprise with Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer — go figure since I was a DIE HARD Trekkie! And, of course, I am currently enamored with him as Dwayne “King” Pride in NCIS: New Orleans, another Bellisario creation. Every time he tells his team, “Go! Learn things!” I get excited! 😀 My favorite MOVIE with him? Necessary Roughness! Yeah, I know. It’s a football show. Again, go figure. 😀
Well, did you guess Quantum Leap???

I promised myself I would NOT get behind again. So without further ado, the next letter for the April A to Z Challenge is…
The father/son duo in this TV series became so close in real life that they remained like father and son for the rest of their lives after the show was done filming (1958-1963). It was one of the first prime time series on American television to show a widowed parent raising a child. The series, which took place in the fictional area of North Fork, New Mexico, was actually titled after a weapon. The young co-star, a former Mickey Mouse Club member, went on to become a teen heart throb with whom (of course) I was totally smitten. In fact, I think he was one of my earliest crushes.
I’ll bet this one will be an easy for you, too. I may have to start picking some of the more obscure series off my master list!!! In the meantime, can you…
(Btw, if you know the answer, please keep it to yourself so as not to give it away. Stick a smiley face on your comment instead. Thank you so much!)

`
(Just a quick note. If the title of the show is preceded with the word “The”, it will NOT be included in the name.)

I think I know this one. I was about to say the name, and this late after R I prolly woulda been safe, but who knows how much later people will read. The description, oddly, also reminded me of an old show called The Courtship of Eddie’s Father. Bill Bixby as the lead. Remember that one?

I love Scott Bakula, but I was SO fascinated with the premise of the show… Sometimes my head actually DID get in the way of my hormones. (Giggle… 😉 )

I loved their dimples.

Dimples? I’m stumped! Whose dimples?

I was thinking of a western that began with “R” minus the “The” in front. Dad had dimple in chin, son had dimples when he smiled. Dad carried a rifle. 😉

I never would have pulled Quantum Leap out of nowhere, good stuff.

Yes it was! Especially when he would leap into a girl or a child. 😀

Yep, knew yesterday’s (and love him in NCIS: NO) and I know today’s too (although technically the show wasn’t named after the weapon, because only the type of weapon is mentioned in the title, not the brand, but that’s probably giving too much away… 😛 )
Stick to the easier titles, I’m actually figuring these out! 😛 (And yes I watched this one, too, in syndication naturally since I’m nowhere near old enough to have watched it first-run…)

Yeah, you’re right about the title. Kinda blew that one, didn’t I…

It was close enough. 😉 I got it from the description anyway, I’m sure I wasn’t the only one.

I know and love this one! 🙂 Yeah, they were both crush-worthy! A favorite tv show of my dad’s, too, and another show that runs daily on MeTv.

Interesting, isn’t it, the longevity of some of these shows in syndication…

My crush from the MMC was Tim Considine and I don’t recall any R series with a hearthrob other than Rocky the Flying Squirrel, lol
