A big thank you this morning to everyone who participated in last week’s challenge. There were some pretty unique observations! I guess we proved what “well-rounded” people we are! 😀
Now back to a simpler prompt this morning. Or is it? When you’re writing, think about ALL parts of your lives, outer AND inner, and see what you come up with. I’m learning from doing these that they can be as easy or as hard as you want to make them. So dig down deep in the sandbox today and give this challenge some serious thought! Here we go…
`
What can you do to simplify your life?
`
As always, remember to include a link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. If you would like to play with us and see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF. So SIMPLY begin!

I’ve got a simple answer to this… get Laura married off on Saturday, then go and hide in the woods… forever 🙂

It’s going to be wonderful. We don’t ‘do’ church – or formal wedding receptions – in our family, so this is the first time been closely involved in something like this. I’m excited and a bit scared 🙂

Yes I need to do this! Obviously. I’m gonna think it over, sleep on it (more blog-hopping to do after supper) and maybe post back tomorrow…. fingers crossed xx

Happier yes. I was androiding virtual city game (SCBI) while mostly away from blogging, keeping myself occupied at least somehow.

I agree with Opher. I try to not read the news until after noon at least. Another thing I have been doing since retirement (and therefore can!) is to keep white space in my days and in my weeks. What I mean by that is that I try not to schedule more than a couple of things to do in each day and try to give some space between outings. I also like to keep a couple of days just to be at home.
I still have a lot of untangling to do, though. We are de-cluttering the house which means we have piles of stuff to give away. The problem is that I want to find someone who could actually use the stuff – much of which I collected while mothering. I should probably offer it on freecycle but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. But getting my hand-offs to people who need it/could use it would greatly simplify my life.
Good question, once again, Lady C.

White space… That’s an interesting concept and way to word it. I’ve found that when I’ve got a lot to do around the house if I start to flag, I can sit down at the computer and play a couple hands of solitaire and be ready to go after my break. Not quite sure why that is, however…

Stopping interacting with the internet would simplify my life enormously. So much time wasted. (But I’d miss my new friends).
