Thank you so much to everyone who chimed in last week. Last week’s challenge, while thought provoking, was sort of light and fluffy. This week’s prompt might have a little more “guts and glory” in it!
`
`
What risks have you taken in your life?
`
As always, remember to include a link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. If you would like to play with us and see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF. So put on your helmet and give it a go!

A lot of the risks I took only seem like risks in hindsight. Hitch-hiking around France when I was fifteen didn’t seem at all like a risk – more of an adventure.
I suppose the biggest risk I consciously took was applying for a job where there was a real risk of failure (both in getting the post and in being turned down).

As to the 15-year-old taking an adventure, don’t you think things were different back then? Safer? I mean “doing Europe” was all the rage when one graduated before setting of for college, right?

Thank you Calen, and yes, like I’ve said before, there’s no real gain without real pain. Take the risk, to recieve your reward. xx

Where do I start? My dad likes to tell the tale of me at three years old on a tricycle speeding down the drive then spinning on two wheels before I hit the road to pedal back up and do it all over again. Don’t think I’ve ever stopped taking risks since!

Verd might not agree, he knows how I feel the fear. Still, can’t let it get in the way, eh?

Ah! But you seem always to overcome it. Just like learning the bike stuff. And THAT’S what counts! 😉 You’re my hero, Safar!!! ❤
