Welcome back to The Sandbox Writing Challenge. Thank you to everyone who participated last week. I’m learning that some of these exercises from Roberta Allen’s book create more interest that others. I’m wondering what you will do with THIS week’s challenge!

If you could foresee one accomplishment in your future, what would you like it to be?
And if anyone actually uses a crystal ball, please tell us all about it! 😮 I don’t have one but I’m wondering how a mason jar of peaches turned upside down would work… 😀
As always, remember to include a link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. If you would like to play with us and see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF. So put on your turban and start staring and squinting!

It’s kind of interesting to do on a blog. When we did it in 2015 I did a LOT of spelunking and soul searching. It was a very helpful book. And that was my second time through it.

Something I’ve been thinking about since quitting work (I now see it like a smoking addiction – once you start you can’t stop, and you need to do more to satisfy the accumulating needs that multiply to keep up the status of the job etc., you know it’s bad for you, but heck, that shift still calls… ) anyway, I’ve been thinking….. wouldn’t it be a great accomplishment to depart this world without a trace of you ever having been here at all? Maybe I said that last time around, but ever since I had the thought, it hasn’t gone away.

That’s an interesting perception. I’ll have to do some thinking about that. I think maybe I’m too vain to want that! If it’s sticking in your mind, maybe you ought to journal about it?

A good idea! I’ve not really got a journal habit, but I have been trying to keep some sort of writing diary since we got here.
