Argh… I still haven’t gotten my post done for #24. But be that as it may, it’s onward and upward!!!

We had some great posts for #24. I have to say I learned something from all of you! This week’s challenge has kind of left me still inside. It’s one I’m going to have to ponder on for a bit, I think. I will be interested to see how everyone relates to it. You may find it hard or not be able to answer at all. We’ll see. I have NO CLUE what I wrote about last time… You ready?

The Sandbox Writing Challenge 2018 — Exercise 25

Mae Sot, Thailand. 2011. Burmese refugees sort through rubbish at the Maepa trash dump. About 22 families, more than 300 people live and work there trying to make a living earning a meager income by collecting and re-using plastic and other refuse. They earn about 3 baths per kilogram. The children situation is specifically, the don't have alternative but to work since they are just babies.

Do you see something of yourself in this little child?
If so, what?

As always, remember to include the link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. And please feel free to interpret the prompt however you wish: memoirs, poems, pictures, etc.

If you would like to see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all, the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF. (Posts from past prompts you wish to tackle will always be added to the current week’s challenge page.)

You may have to get your shovel out literally to sort through this prompt. I think it’s one of the more significant ones Roberta Allen has in the book. Good luck.
