This week in The Sandbox Writing Challenge, Roberta Allen wants to know:
`
What do you hunger for?
`
And we’re not just talking about food here. What is there in your life that you feel you need to sustain you, or would help to sustain you — it may just be wishful thinking, but identifying that need is a crucial, pivotal point in our dreams and desires. Can’t wait to see what you come up with this week!
As always, remember to include the link to this post on YOUR blog post. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. And please feel free to interpret the prompt however you wish: memoirs, poems, pictures, etc.
If you would like to see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all, the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF. (Posts from past prompts you wish to tackle will always be added to the current week’s challenge page.)
Now off you go to the “buffet of life” to seek out your true hunger…

I have no trouble answering this one – I hunger for peace.

I guess you need to learn that “peace” wave with Raili and LuAnne! 😀 Truthfully, I hunger for that, too,but am becoming more despairing each day of it ever happening.

There are too many powerful people who have a financial interest in war…

Yes, they see war as nothing more than currency…

I’m new to your site, but am finding more and more to read. I’ll do my best to stay brief too, although that’s not my nature usually. My post about your #29 question:

Brief is over-rated! 😉 And welcome!

I hunger for a compassionate and sane government in the US. I am so tired of the unnecessary drama and divisiveness.

That’s easy for me too…perhaps selfish…it should be world peace, but I’ve wished for that for so long…so for the moment, I’ll move on…I hunger for time to do family travel to far away places.

You almost got to do that once, didn’t you? Or did you actually make that trip? Of curse just doing it once is never a cure. It just makes it worse! At least for me…

That’s easy – like the beauty pageant contestants, I hunger for world peace

Have you learned to do the Miss Congeniality wave, too? 🤪

I can do it! I have never been in a beauty contest – nor would I want to (nor would anyone have me!) but I watched Sandra Bullock learn how to do it in the movie Miss Congeniality and I think I have it down. Don’t the British royalty do that as well?

LOL! You two are a hoot! Perhaps you should video your waves and we can take a poll to see who is the most convincing! 😀
