The more we learn about ourselves,
the easier it becomes to navigate obstacles we face.
What’s the most surprising thing you’ve ever learned about yourself?
The most surprising thing I’ve ever learned about myself was that I feel no difference in the love for my biological son Brandon and the love for my adopted daughter Stefanie. In fact, sometimes I forget which one was adopted! 😀 (And I yelled at them both the same when they were growing up! LOL)

No, I haven’t given up. Remember on the blogverse, time is relative, LOL! I hope you had a good time.

Hi Calen, I hope you are improving healing well. I’m tired, not exhausted, but it’s hard to maintain a schedule with everything swirling around me.
I’m learning that I can take care of myself and my kids too. Carving out time for myself takes a lot of effort, but the time without kids is rejuvenating.

So sorry I missed your call yesterday! Will call and catch up with you this week. I like talking better than emailing anyway! ❤

I will try to call again. Sometimes, I remember that I can talk on my phone instead of using it as a mini computer. 🙂 Take care this busy week!

Hello, my friend. Lovely to see you back and (by the sounds of things) getting everything under control. I’ve been thinking of you and just spent the last 10 minutes reading your posts and catching up. Glad to hear you are weathering the storm so to speak and with regard to loving your children, isn’t it amazing how love just multiplies?

Discovering new abilities I have that I had not previously thought I did. Case in point. When we were moving into this house, we were faced with having to combine two houses worth of furniture and some how I was able to envision how things would fit together into a room which did not seem like it could hold as much furniture as it now does.

A lovely picture dear Calen. I hope you’re keeping ok.
Oh I’ve learnt so much about myself over the years
I suppose I was a bit of a rough diamond in my younger years, little did I know l would end up happily in married, then later in life become my wife’s loving carer supporter. And during that time, become a member of the Geelong Writers Association and personally be a proud writer of poetry..

Life has given you three blessings (and probably many more) in your life, Ivor. How are YOU feeling? I know you’d been in the hospital for awhile. Everything ok now? ❤

Hi Dear Calen, I am feeling ok, considering, I’ve had 2 Strokes, one in mid December and one (a minor one) in January, life has been quite a battle, but I’m now walking lots and exercising hard. I’ve just been given the ok to go ahead with my trip to America, I am going to New York, and Philadelphia 24th April, stay in New York for 5 days and then to Philadelphia where I have cousins I’ll be staying with for 3 weeks. Yeah 😊 I won’t be as fit as I would like, but I’m looking forward to meeting my cousins 🙄xx

That’s awesome, Ivor! I’m glad to hear you’re doing well. Have you ever met your cousins before? What are you going to do in NY? We leave on a cruise to Hawaii on the 21st. Our 47th anniversary. Gotta say I’m a bit nervous about being away from good medical care. We’ll be at sea for eight days. I hope you have a marvelous time! ❤

Nice to see you back Calen. I love this quote and what has surprised me is how resilient I can be at pressures times and not as resilient when things less pressured.
The pic of your children is lovely 🙂

I know what you mean, Margaret. I always am much better under pressure than when I’m relaxing. Takes too long, I guess, to get myself in gear when I’ve been chilling out. But that working better under pressure is partly why I have Myasthenia. Sounds like both of us need to alter our lifestyle a little!
