What are three fulfilling aspects of your life that you tend to overlook?
`
1. Sorting and resorting my books on the shelves in our little “sitting room” where my desk is. That way I stay in touch with my “old friends.”
`
2. Sitting in the sun from the window with Twitch on my lap just stroking her glossy fur. It calms us both down.
`
3. Finishing an extra-hard Sudoku without making any mistakes. It keeps my brain happy!
`
Gee, that wasn’t as easy a question as I thought it would be! How about you? What overlooked things do YOU find that are good for your soul?

For a year I’d been overlooking reading my cards. Now I’m back and working on it from a different POV – The Tarot Activity Book. I am enjoying the exercises, learning a lot more about myself, and happy to be back in a Realm I’d been missing. I’m also thoroughly enjoying the warm season, sitting out on the deck, and hearing the birds singing.

I’m so glad all is well with the two of you after your car accident. Thank God you weren’t seriously hurt. Does there happen to be a day other than Friday that we could talk this week? I think his nibs is taking Friday off. Let me know.

Love your book room. I do love books and I love reading them, but do not do so very often since my blogging began because I do love reading posts by bloggers also. I also do Sudoku. I never do what I imagine you refer to as extra hard. I find Sudoku books vary greatly in their “difficulty” levels. I use a pen to fill in because pencil is not dark enough for me to see easily – also because I don’t like “guessing.” When there begins to be paths to choose, I toss the book. 😀 I like your question.

A pen! You use a pen, Oneta??? My hat is off to you. I erase so often I wouldn’t even be able to see the page if I had to scribble everything out!!! I’m amazed! Way to go, girl!

The porch swing comes to mind. I should go more often. Walking the fields which have now grown to tall to be safely walked through. A day to do ‘nothing’ and not feel guilty.

Your comment about the fields intrigued me, Beverly! Why would they not be safe to walk through? How interesting!

Overlooked and truly missed are 1) my soul-strolls. 2) writing. 3) baking scones

Are you not writing at all these days? Don’t lose that part of yourself, hon. You fought so hard to get it. And DO be sure to “pace” those scones! ;D

Our sitting rooms are quite similar!

That’s great. It’s so nice to sit there and spend time “remembering” with all my old friends. I bet you do that, too?

Hi Cheryl!
I guess for me the things that keep me sane are:
Walking in nature
Watching wild animals
Taking a good photo
Writing a good piece
Travelling in other cultures
Reading a good book
And meeting friends
So far though, they’ve not quite worked on the sanity front!

LOL! Opher, you’re one of the sanest people I know! 😀

Oh my … you’re right, it’s not an easy question to answer. 1) Sleep? 2) giving myself an hour to do nothing but read. 3) a long walk with my favourite tunes on the ipod.

Do you have to give yourself permission to have down-time, too, Jill?

Oh yes! In fact, not only do I need to give myself permission, but I literally have to force myself to take an hour for ‘me’. Sigh.

I can SO identify with that! 😦
