Ponder on how you make other people’s lives
a little easier or better.
It can be anything from opening doors for strangers
to lending an ear when someone needs to talk.
What are some of the things you do?
`
Take carts from folks in parking lots after they’ve emptied them and return them to the store.
`
Always have something nice and SINCERE to say to a store clerk.
`
Love sending cards for birthdays, illnesses, or just because.
`
Make a call to someone I haven’t seen at church in a while.
`
Stick little surprises in his nib’s lunch!
`
We live right by Hill AFB so we often see folks in their uniforms. When I do, whether in the grocery store, a restaurant, or standing in line at the bank, I always express my gratitude to them for their service and ask if I can shake their hand. I LOVE this one. The looks on their faces can be just priceless…
(This is all a cover, you know, for my habit of being a busybody! LOL)
`
How about you? What little things do you do to help brighten up someone’s day?

I always try to be nice to people. It could be holding a door open for someone or smiling at someone as they pass by you. It can’t hurt and who knows…you may be the only nice thing that happens to someone that day!

Have you ever noticed how when you smile at some people they don’t smile back? Instead they look down at the ground and move on, or they look beyond you. I always wonder what their story is.

Hi Calen, how are you going, This a very sweet article….
** I always like to smile and be chatty
** Help the aged whenever I can
** Ask the buskers about how their day is going
And I’m truly thankful to my friends that have stuck by me through all of my days….

Absolutely! And it only takes a spark to get a fire going in someone’s heart, warming them right up. 😀

Love your list. I dropped my cane, so I asked a young man to pick it up for me. A pleasant event. As I thanked him, I told him I had enjoyed our very short friendship. He smiled. Who knows? For thirty seconds I might have relieved his mind from worry; he was master over my dropped cane. 😀

What a beautiful perception, Oneta. I would never have thought of it that way. ❤

It doesn’t cost a thing to just be nice.
