I receive your blessing with thanks and send one back to you. Happy New Year all year long. Calen, tell me about your name – Cheryl/ Calen/ Calensarial. Do you have a preference?
Thank you so much, Oneta! Hey, you might appreciate what I’ve been pondering on over the Advent season. I was wondering how green and red became the “colors of Christmas.” I came to the conclusion that “green” represents life and “red”, that life is in the blood. Any thoughts?
As to the name thing. I answer to anything, even Hey You! I’m a huge Tolkien fan and the name Calensariel is from Tolkien’s middle-earth languages. Calen means green, sar(n) means stone, and iel is one of the feminine endings. So I became Calensariel, which means (essentially) maiden of the green stone. Why? My birthstone is emerald. Seemed fitting! LOL Cheryl is fine, too. Just don’t call me late for supper! 😉
And a Happy New Year to you and his nibs, my dear friend! I hope this year will be free of troubles for you … you had more than your share last year. Love ‘n hugs!
Happy New Year Calen to you and yours…..
I’m thinking to myself,
I’m well-seasoned…… the stuffing’s still tasty
I’m well-travelled…… I desire to do more
I’m well worn…………..It’s time to buy a new pair of ‘rocking shoes’
I’m well, almost………. enough to keep pedalling “Yorkie”
I’m well aged ……… . here’s a toast of wine to you, to another decade of living life…
another stepping stone across the river of time my friend

I like your green and red conclusion. Certainly fits Christmas. And you as the green stone maiden. I like that too. Thanks, Calensariel. 😀

Back at ya, girlfriend. May God continue to bless your tongue with fire and truth! 😉

Sometimes, I wish my tongue weren’t quite so fiery! But … ’tis who I am, and after 68 years, I’m not likely to change now!

Anything — even a fiery tongue(!) — can be a strength OR a weakness (or BOTH sometimes(!). You got the gift, girl! You put it to good use! ❤

Such a lovely song, Ivor. I never saw the movie. The words are beautiful. Do you have the soundtrack?
And thanks for the lovely toast. I will lift a glass to you as well! ❤
