Day 23 — Seeds
We all do it, whether we mean to or not, even when we don’t know we’re doing it. The question is, what kinds do you sow?
Seeds of discontent? Seeds of discord? Seeds of hate? Seeds of violence? Or how about seeds of mercy? Seeds of kindness? Seeds of harmony? Seeds of acceptance? Which seeds should we sow to grow a healthy and sturdy crop of people?
Sometimes being caretakers of this world both in nature and nurture can be daunting. We can never be quite sure where the wind will carry those seeds that flutter from our hands and lips.
Why not spend a day observing where you’re scattering your seeds? Are they good seeds or bad seeds? And if you don’t like the crop you figure they’re going to grow, perhaps it’s time to get a different seed catalog!
Words are also seeds,
and when dropped into the
invisible spiritual substance,
they grow and bring forth
after their kind.
