So it seems I found a show a wee bit harder to remember. 😀 It was only on for three years, so if you blinked you may have missed it! It wasn’t your usual fare, and the doc wasn’t your usual doc. But I fell in love with his patients, especially Clarence, the cross-eyed lion, the real lion that inspired the show:

So, once again I have to admite… I don’t have any idea 😦
But I’m anjoying this challenge, because, you know, many times I don’t knwo the answer because I’ve never seen the show. I’m discovering lots of old shows 😉

Omigosh, I’ve actually heard of Daktari. No idea why cuz I sure never saw it, but I’ve said that name scores of times never knowing what I was saying. How weird.
For today, yaaaassss! I actually edited his/her biography, which I won’t name here because that would be a pretty obvious clue, but it was a great book by James Maguire.

Daktari is Swahili for doctor. Does that help?

I’d like to say yes, but no. I must have been a wee child and someone in my house would watch that show and I would hear the theme song or snippets or something. It just cracks me up how many times I have uttered “Daktari” and never had any idea why … until now! So, thanks.

I do remember Daktari.,even though I was a kid…..the memory is a bit fuzzy Aarojnd the edges, but I remember the chimp and lion!!

He was a quirky guy who was on TV forever and brought the [ 😀 ] to the States.

Yay! Someone else got it, also. That makes a whole TWO of you. 😀 Yeah, E was pretty easy, but my E list was VERY short. Like TWO shows! Just putting a list together was a bit of a challenge. I think I strained my brain! LOL

I may have seen a few episodes of Daktari. I know E and I know why I was tuned in that night. It was all anyone talked about at the bus stop the next morning. I was a senior in high school.

Nope, didn’t know yesterday’s. I may have heard the name at some point, or at least heard of Clarence, but never saw the show. Today’s show I know though, and I even get bonus points for knowing why that particular episode was so popular. 😛

Daktari was one of my absolute fave shows when I was a kid. When I went on an African safari I looked all over Kenya and Tanzania for cross-eyed lions. No luck.
