I don’t often share a lot of family pix on here. I worry about exposing the grandkids’ adorable faces out there. But I have one today I just HAVE to share. This is our daughter Stefanie and our granddaughter Lydia Rose (or Lyddie or Dia or whatever else the three boys are calling her now, lol). Lydia Rose is seven months old and she was on her way to church to be christened.
And one more… This picture was taken at the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake where my brother-in-law is getting his chemo. It was outside the window of one of the waiting rooms. This hospital is built on the side of the mountain above Salt Lake, and the deer often come down in the winter to try and find something to eat. I suspect this one was soaking up the heat from the building? Must have felt funny to the humans inside having an animal watch THEM in a confined space. Shoe on the other foot and all that. 😀
I am so bloomin’ glad Spring is almost here. The first day of spring 2016 is March 20, and as of this very second there’s exactly 37 Days : 4 Hours : 21 Minutes : 39 Seconds left until start of it.(time: 04:22 GMT). Yay!!!
It occurred to me this morning that I haven’t heard Drollery complain even once about having to scrape the windows on the car in the mornings. He hates that with a passion. Especially when he’s running late for work. Then it dawned on me why. We had to buy a “gently used car” a year ago and didn’t realize until there was a recall on the key ring fob that this car had an automatic starter on it. (rolls eyes…) The salesman forgot to mention THAT little detail! Let me tell you what! We’ll never have another car that DOESN’T have one of those handy do-dads on it!
And as to Bran, he hasn’t complained hardly either because we bought him a couple of these balaclavas. He loves them. His semi-bald pate is staying a lot warmer these days! I was a bit afraid someone might think he was a terrorist, but so far so good! 😉
Even so, I can NOT wait for the sign in our neighbor Clark’s yard to say “1 Day Till Spring!” He changes it every day. 😀
Now you really DID want to know all that, didn’t you? (This is me putting off sorting the laundry… 😦 )
Hope you’re all doing something more fun than that!

Wow @ the deer relaxing outside the building! What a beauty!
I love that balaclava! That looks VERY warm. Did I mention I got a mad bomber hat? 😀

Yeah. Seems I was just barely freakin’ out about not having a laptop when we went to meet Lydia in September so I bought my Chromebook. Best buy I ever made! Love this thing! (I got mine done yesterday, btw…)

I hear you about posting photos of our children and grandchildren in this day and age. I asked our daughter before posting a picture of our little guy. Of course, his face is on Facebook on a fairly regular basis, but one never knows. Anyhow, Lydia Rose is a beauty, just like her momma! I was looking at some of your older posts with Stephie’s family. What a blessed woman you are to have so many grandchildren! I have one…and that seems to be all I will have. I am not complaining…I am SOOOOO grateful for that one little boy who warms the cockles of my heart! Grandchildren are absolutely amazing!

Is that one by choice or because of biology? I’m really keen on adoption! Stef and Jesse are done having kids the normal way. They would like to adopt two now.

That is wonderful! The one we have is biological but I think that might be it… I can only hope they would consider adoption… I would welcome a few more! It doesn’t matter to me. Children, natural or adopted, are all the same for me, gifts from God!

Well, yes there is! They are both gorgeous – your girls. And the deer. And yes, I am procrastinating too. It’s midday, not dressed, kids are getting us breakfast and I’m sitting at my laptop creating a readers list ‘cos I just discovered you can do that and it seemed like a good idea … happy valentine’s day 🙂

Same to you, girlfriend. What’s a reader’s list?

Apparently it is helpful to manage blogs you follow – you can sort them into lists say like poetry, photos, etc. It filters posts so only their posts come up in your reader. Meant to be more efficient than trolling through all of them, esp. if you’re looking for something /someone in particular. Haven’t tried it yet. You’ll find it on the left tool bar when you go in to manage your follows. Takes a bit of work to set up as you have to individually copy and paste each url into the list. I came across it in a Daily Post I think.

It amazed me it was sitting there so calmly. There are lots of bushes around there. It was probably well fed. And used to people, too, I reckon.

Folding? Are you kidding??? I’m still waiting for Drollery to carry the hamper downstairs for me! (rolls eyes…) I haven’t done any laundry since they fixed our plumbing last week. I’m sure hoping nothing overflows anymore. Guess I’ll find out!
