…as we’ve been playing together in the Sandbox! Tomorrow we will have arrived! Yes, we will have arrived at our 59th week on the playground to finish up Roberta Allen’s book. After that there will be one more review. You guys are totally awesome!!!
There is another book that I’m going to be starting, though I won’t tell you what it is just now. But in the meantime, for at least two or three weeks, I thought it might be nice to take a little break and let YOU send over some prompts to play with. As you’ve been working through the prompts in, The Playful Way to Knowing Yourself, have you ever thought, “Gee! I wonder what folks would say to _________?” Well if so, now’s your chance to find out.
I’ve picked up a first one this morning from Janet Thomas’s blog at Elixir: Creative and Reflective Writing. You’ll get to see it a week from tomorrow.
So if any of you have prompts you’d love to see tackled, please fill out the contact form below and let me know, and we’ll shoot for starting the new book in September. Perhaps the 20th, the week of the Autumnal Equinox.
In the meantime, we’ll see you tomorrow with the last of Roberta Allen’s prompts! And congratulations for sticking with this challenge for over a year. I truly believe what Socrates said which is why I started this challenge:
The unexamined life is not worth living.
(And btw, if you’ve not been a part of the Sandbox, feel free to have a look at the topics we’ve covered in the menu at the top of the page. We’d love to have you join us. The more the merrier! Just remember to observe proper playground etiquette… Please do NOT throw sand in anyone’s face!‘ 😉 )

I have really enjoyed the challenges as they give me the boot in the butt needed! The best part for me was reading everyone else’s takes on the prompts and the different directions we go in with just a few words or even the picture alone.
Thanks so much for organizing! 😊

Wasn’t much organizing involved… Just copied the words out of the book. Still looking around for new material. Have one book in mind but still not sure about it. I have so loved reading your stuff, Shannon. You blow me away… ❤

You’re one of those folks who can do a blog AND read? I envy you! Seems as if you’ve been a pretty busy gal the last few weeks!

It’s been quite the epic journey, hasn’t it! Even though I only joined in much later along, it has been an interesting experience. And part of that has been reading everyone else’s take on the very same prompt!

I should have included the topics in that new book I’m thinking of using. They include groups of questions on things like mystery, acceptance, imperfection, ways of seeing, resurrections (not of the religious type), and solitude or community. I’m so glad you joined in. I love seeing all different kinds of people being a part of it.

It’s been fun. I’ve just sent a possible prompt to you. Interesting what came up when I drew an oracle card 🙂
BTW, I have decided to end the Circle of Friends. It feels right. Thank you for journeying along with me through it.

Wow Calen – 59 weeks – what an epic journey. You must do a review and highlight the Top Ten things you discovered in the Sandbox.

It’s nearly over – and half the time my head was in some other place, so I didn’t do half the challenges…

Don’t sweat it. I wasn’t taking attendance! 😀 Just always glad to have anyone who wanted to join us whenever they could. Who the heck wants this to be stressful? Not me! Got enough stress in my life. So do YOU! {{{Jane}}}
