The Sandbox Writing Challenge 2018 — Exercise 6
This week’s challenge is What is holding you back? Now you can interpret that any way you’d like. Is there something you really, really want to do but just can’t quite get up the courage? Somewhere you want to go but haven’t for some reason? You decide how to answer this question.
As usual, remember to include a link to this post on your blog. Or if your response isn’t overly long, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. If you would like to play with us and see the previous prompts, they’re listed in the menu at the top of the blog in The Sandbox Writing Challenge. But please feel free to just jump in wherever we are at the moment! After all the prompts are really for YOU to get to know YOURSELF!

Well that was a first for Ivor, I just managed to do a “Pingback”, not quite sure how I did it, but it’s happen, hehe, I’m still learning.

Yay!!! You’ll get the hang of it! 😀 Just highlight the title or name of the post you want the pingback to go to. Then in the tools up top click on the button that looks like a link. It will bring a box up by what you highlighted. The in another screen, go to the post you want it to go to and copy the address from that post. Once you’ve pasted it in that box that came up on your blog, click it and it will highlight the words in your blog so that when people click on them it will take them to the other person’s blog. And your notification will turn up in the comments on their blog. Hope that helps?

Fear of success… Sometimes I don’t think I take that seriously enough. I think you’re exactly right, Theresa….

I don’t think I’ll be able to play catch up with these challenges. But – if I had a bottomless pit of money, boy would I have fun!! I’d be out there dropping bundles into letter boxes, surprising people by paying for their shopping or their meals, buying homes for the homeless, taking a boat load away on a cruising holiday…. oh my!!!

I feel that way, too! And there have been times Arn and I have just thrown caution to the wind and done something like that. For our 35th wedding anniversary we threw a dinner party at an upscale restaurant for 30 people whom we felt had been instrumental in helping us be successful in our life, marriage, family, etc. We paid for it all, even the wine. It was one of the most fun things we ever did. A highlight of our life together.

So Jay, if money wasn’t an issue, what would you get unstuck and do? 😀 VERY curious! 😉

That’s okay. I know your “Muse” is a very busy gal! (Or guy? Do muses have genders?) 😉

I don’t think mine does – it would be too limiting 🙂

Time, energy and skills hold me back – plus a bit of my own likes. I like doing what I like doing and tend to avoid what I don’t like doing.

Well if you do what you like doing then I suspect NOTHING is holding you back! That’s the best thing to do!
