Gee! I think I finally found one that stumped everyone!!! Yay! Denise’s son goggled it and figured it out, but said they wouldn’t have guessed it. Well, here it is, then…
The Monroes
Of the five young stars of this show, Barbara Hershey is the one who went on to have a very successful career. Michael Anderson Jr. made 72 movies and guest starred on numerous TV series. I fell in love with him in Disney’s In Search of the Castaways and The Sons of Katie Elder (with some VERY big guns: John Wayne, Dean Martin, and Earl Holliman). (This was a HARD one to find an intro to! I think it’s in Japanese or Chinese?)
`
So! By show of hands, how many of you ever saw this TV series??? And btw, if you ever get up to Grand Teton country, be sure to stop in to the Bar J Ranch for dinner and their floor show with the Bar J Wranglers. They are sooo worth seeing! 😀

Now! Off we go on the second half of the April A to Z Challenge! Today’s NEW letter is…
This was more of a “fluffy” little TV series, one I really only started to watch because I adored the main character’s real life sister who was one of my favorite actresses. Also short-lived (1970 to 1971), there was just something a little bit mysterious about this series. It just goes to show you that behind every successful man/family there is a magical woman! Or was there?
So what do you think? Can you…
`
(Btw, if you know the answer, please keep it to yourself so as not to give it away. Stick a smiley face on your comment instead. Thank you so much!)
`
`
(Just a quick note. If the title of the show is preceded with the word “The”, it will NOT be included in the name.)

If this had been The Monkees Show, or The Man From U.N.C.L.E., I’d have got it, no trouble… I think they must have been about the only two shows I watched on TV, and I’m pretty sure the second one was English…

Dang! I even had The Man From U.N.C.L.E. on my list! I had a HORRIBLE crush on Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum). Love him as Ducky on NCIS.

I adored Illya. I used to dream that he’s suddenly appear in the field below my house in the backwaters of this rural county where I live, and sweep me off my feet – or rather, go climbing trees with me. I’m still waiting – not for David McCallum, for Illya… always Illya… sigh…
I’m guessing you didn’t win his heart either. Or did you turn him down? 😀

Can’t say as I’ve heard of the Monroes. N sounds fun, but I can’t guess what that might be either.

You know? I think I watched The Monroes… a LOOOOOOOOONG time ago. But I’m not even sure.
A series with magic?
But with only one season, I’m not even sure it ever made it to Italy.

Speaking of M, I am now hitting below the Mendoza line in this contest. Ugh. I clearly did not watch enough TV in my formative years. I blame my siblings for always dragging me outside to play Capture the Flag and Prisoner.

Did not know M, had never heard of it even. Using your clues I looked up N, so now I know it, but I didn’t before. Although I had heard of it, I’d never seen it and had absolutely no idea what it was about. Keep it up, I may not know most of them, but I’m definitely learning a lot! 😀

Okay, did not know M, though it sounded vaguely familiar. I was equally clueless about todays clues, but you’re getting Hubs and me to look stuff up, so I did discover the answer. But no smiley because I didn’t know it.
So I’ll just put a smiley because I’m having a good time. 🙂
BTW, read your post on how you and his lordship met, and I loved it! Congrats on 45 years! Hubs and I celebrate 30 in the fall.

Didn’t know N either. I don’t think I ever saw this series, though the name is familiar. Amazing what you can find in wikipedia. We had quite a discussion yesterday about old tv shows thanks to you.
